I accidentally started playing "Phantom Liberty" in Cyberpunk 2077. I feel spoiled since I intended to keep the DLC for last, but it seems that's not what CDPR (or at least their mission design team had in mind). Cyberpunk is a really fun game though, as much as it suffers from constant technical glitches.
I have also been vocally evangelising Timberborn, which is a game about beavers, dams, and water physics. It is really fun to play the city building experience which is whimsy, chill, and relaxing and creates some clever engineering moments, although sometimes bad stuff does happen and the water physics can get frustrating.
I also implemented at the last IndieWeb session a generator to generate opengraph information for my website, it is apparently really fun to write randomly generated art, the results are also aesthetically somewhat pleasing. Now I am thinking if I should do something similar for the footer as well. One can never go wrong with a but of client side JS.
Mainstream Media's continued ignorance of the CJP protests means that my nights have become sleepless and hopelessly glued to Instagram. The app is addictive as is, and I am starting to regret my Instagram account. However, there are upsides to this. Example: awareness about the said protests since print and TV media seems to have written them off.
On an aside, I doubt the Honorable Chief Justice of India will be comparing people to animals anytime soon since it looks like the cockroaches got their big win early Saturday. The education minister of India tendered his resignation to the Prime Minister of India. This comes after weeks of protest, about a month of hunger strikes, countless baton charges, and a reminder by the youth of the nation to the principles India has been founded on.
I do wonder, whether the government has played its hand all too well though, allow anger to reach a big boiling point and then let the education minister go. I.e. build the most steam and then release all of it so people don't have much left for the next set of changes.
Across India this week saw the police trying to siege the protest site, people nationwide sending food, water, and supplies by the means of quick commerce apps. Bihar converting protests into a playground, and the youth of India's guide to always online protesting. I am proud of being an Indian this week.
